Albemarle County Fair 2026

There’s something pretty incredible about county fairs, their communities, and the youth who grow up alongside it all.

The 2026 Fair will feature livestock animals, agriculture products, craft exhibits, live music, historic demonstrations, food trucks, and much more! Year after year, this agricultural program has long been a Fair tradition. This year the Fair is excited to host a wider variety of exhibitors. A complete schedule of what you can see each day at the fair will be released in July.

The Albemarle County Fair Board presents the Albemarle County Fair Market Animal Auction on August 1, 2026 at 2:00 pm.

The Albemarle County Fair will be held in outdoor space, including the pavilion and grounds of James Monroe’s Highland located in Charlottesville. This event promises traditional family fun in a historic setting.

The AFC Board thanks the community for their interest and continued support and looks forward to sharing and celebrating the best of our rich and lively agricultural community at the 2026 Fair at James Monroe’s Highland.
